Back to God Ministries Celebrates 75th Birthday

December 16, 2014

How and when did you first learn about Back to God Ministries?

Seventy-five years ago, on Dec. 17, 1939, the CRC’s first radio broadcast reached through the airwaves into the homes of church members or car radios of seekers.

If you are old enough to remember Peter Eldersveld or Joel Nederhood, you might remember getting up on Sunday mornings and listening to The Back to God Hour with your family while eating breakfast .

Perhaps your family shared Today (or Family Altar) devotions after dinner.

Maybe you are younger and Kids Corner’s zany lizards helped nurture your life-long love for the Bible.

Others of you came to faith through the influence of Rev. Juan Boonstra’s powerful preaching and evangelism rallies in Latin America.

Or you listened to Rev. Isaac Jen’s Chinese broadcasts and gathered your family around the Chinese Today.

Perhaps you remember hearing Rev. Sergei Sosedkin preach in your church, sharing the powerful ways God is using media to transform lives in Eastern Europe.

If you are relatively new to Back to God Ministries, you might be one of the 280,000 followers who receive our devotional and faith-forming resources by email, Facebook, or smart phone apps.

As we celebrate 75 years of God’s faithfulness to this ministry, we’d love to hear your story.
