What is a Mission Emphasis Week?

For one week, your church focuses on Christ's mandate: to go and make disciples of all nations.  In His ministry, He was a hearty missionary/evangelist.  Now, He has left that to us: His Church.  During this week, your church can highlight mission work and your members can focus their energy to it.

Why Host a Mission Emphasis Week?

We live in a huge mission field: more than 218 million North Americans do not have a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.  Our culture continues to sink away from its Christian heritage.  Mission Emphasis Week is planned to remind us of our Lord's will for us, of our opportunity to be involved, and how we may give ourselves to the missionary work of the Lord through His Church.
