For the last several centuries, the word "mission" has been confined to overseas missions or various outreach tasks at home. However, the Bible gives the whole church in the whole of its life a missional identity and role in the biblical story. This has far-reaching implications for churches today.
Christianity is growing and changing rapidly, as is the face of “missions” as we know it today. In 1900, the number of Christians in Africa, Asia, and Latin America was estimated to be 18%. Today the number of Christians living in the non-western world is at least 60%!
One of the ways the mission agencies of the CRCNA are seeking to work in the changing world of missions is through partnerships. We use the word “partnering” to mean “coming together in a relationship of love and trust to do something to glorify God and advance His Kingdom.” Partnering with others is an essential part of our identity, and everywhere we work we do so in partnership with others.
Discover ways in which your church can partner as it desires to become more of the sign, foretaste and instrument that God has called it to be. Your church has a calling!
"A true congregation of God anywhere in the world is at the same
time part of God's mission to the ends of the earth."
