CRWRC began working in Liberia in 1982. Work continued until war and civil unrest made it impossible for staff to remain in the country. In 2005, CRWRC volunteers Bob & Renita Reed agreed to go to Liberia to carry out a special project until May 2008.

Relief Projects
Prolonged conflict in Liberia has left a wake of devastation. Many had to leave their homes and their livelihoods. Living as displaced persons, they have had no income - no means to provide food or shelter for their families. Farmers who were able to stay in their homes were often forced to feed groups of rebel fighters.
