Interchurch Relations Committee

“As we draw closer to Christ, we draw closer to each other.” This is true for marriage and family relationships, for congregational fellowship, and for our experience as members of the Christian Reformed Church in North America.

The quotation actually refers to something else, however. The Ecumenical Charter of the CRCNA, revised in 2006, says this regarding our membership in the world-wide Body of Christ (II.A.3). Many denominations and Christian communities share in the wonderful reality of union with Christ, and interchurch activities celebrate the Spirit’s gift.

The Interchurch Relations Committee has drawn together resources for you. They provide a Reformed perspective about the biblical teaching and theological conclusions regarding interchurch relationships. They have lots of information about the churches and organizations which are in special relationship with the CRCNA.

Our hope is that this site will encourage enthusiastic involvement in interchurch opportunities. If you have questions or comments about interchurch matters, please contact any member of the Interchurch Relations Committee.
