
Location: Spirit and Truth Fellowship, Philadelphia, PA
Type of Groups: Work crews, preferably mostly skilled and semi-skilled adults with some construction know-how to work with our contractor
Size: 8-12 individuals per team is ideal, more or less is fine
Number of Teams: 1-3 or more
Time Commitment: Variable lengths of time are okay, 1 or 2 weeks is great, but more or less is good, too
Dates Opportunity Is Available: Between now and the end of February 2010
Project: Partnering with Spirit and Truth Fellowship CRC and their contractor to renovate a building (permit has been acquired) into an Adult Ministry Center which will include a legal clinic, personal and family counselling, Bible Institute, Church Planting Institute, research center and library
Specific Responsibilities:
1) Construction of walls, ceiling, etc., turning a 6000 sq. ft. empty room into 4 classrooms, 7 offices, conference room, rest rooms, kitchenette, etc.
2) Worship at Spirit and Truth during the project;
3) Provide Spirit and Truth Fellowship CRC and ServiceLink with an evaluation of the project;
4) Share your experience with your church and/or supporters.
5) Raise awareness with your home church and community of the ministry taking place at Spirit and Truth Fellowship CRC.
Qualifications:
1) Willingness to work under the leadership of the Church and their contractor;
2) Be compassionate, respectful of other cultures, and emotionally stable;
3) Flexible, adaptable and able to view life with a sense of humor:
4) Raise prayer and financial support by inviting individuals, businesses and/or churches to give to your opportunity
Costs - will vary with each team depending on where they are from.
• Meals & Lodging: Teams will be housed at a single (completely renovated) home in the community which has been made available for this purpose by a church member (who lives next door). Teams must provide their own meals.
• Transportation to Philadelphia, PA and return

• Out of state/province or out of country medical and travel insurance
• Passport – for those coming into the US

- opportunity to help volunteers link their individual/church’s mission and vision to work being done;
