The 150th anniversary of the Christian Reformed Church is being celebrated in a variety of ways.

PHASES

Remembering

January - April 2007

The REMEMBERING phase will be celebrated entirely in planned regional events with the specific dates and location for each to be announced when available. A special day of focus during this phase is scheduled for April 22.

The committee has chosen Psalm 145:3-7 and John 15:1-5 for the scriptural focus of the REMEMBERING phase. Sermon notes have been prepared by Dr. John Rottman, professor of preaching at Calvin Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

Rejoicing

May - August 2007

The REJOICING phase will be celebrated in planned regional events and with a mass worship service in West Michigan on Sunday, June 10 when Synod 2007 is in session at the Van Andel Arena.

The committee has chosen Psalm 36:5-9 and Nehemiah 8:9-12 for the scriptural focus of the REJOICING phase.

Rededicating

Sept. - Dec. 2007

The REDEDICATING phase will be celebrated entirely in planned regional events with the specific dates and location for each to be announced when available. A special day of focus is scheduled for October 14. A three-day conference will also be held during this phase.

The committee has chosen Psalm 78:1-7 and Romans 12:1-2 for the scriptural focus of the REDEDICATING phase.

Regional Events

Many regional events of celebration will be taking place across North America throughout 2007.

Conference

Assessing the Past, Facing the Future - the CRC at 150.
A key part of the CRC's 150th anniversary celebration is a three-day conference September 13-15 on the campus of Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI. The conference will feature a keynote address by Dr. Richard Mouw, president of Fuller Theological Seminary.

Assembly of World-Wide Partners

This gathering brings together CRC leaders from around the world June 7-9, 2007,  for learning and discerning where God is leading the church in mission together.
