On Saturday, May 4, 2024, more than 750 students will graduate from Calvin University. The ceremony, which takes place at 2 p.m. ET in Calvin University’s Van Noord Arena, will honor the undergraduate, graduate, and certificate-earning students who are earning degrees in 74 areas of study.

“We are excited to celebrate our graduates this Saturday,” said Greg Elzinga, interim president of Calvin University. “We are anticipating the many ways our graduates will use the gifts and talents God has given them and the education they received at Calvin to be Christ’s agents of renewal in the many sectors and spheres where he’s calling them to next, both locally and globally.”

The Class of 2024 represents 38 U.S. states and 46 countries and is part of a university whose current student body of 3,300 students hail from more than 55 countries, 48 U.S. states, and five Canadian provinces.

Students graduating on Saturday represent dozens of majors within the School of Business, School of Education, School of Health, School of Humanities, Arts, and Social Sciences, and School of STEM. More than 120 students are graduating with master’s degrees, while six students are receiving four-year certificates through the life and career studies program, a program which serves students with intellectual disability.

Calvin University will also confer degrees upon the 12 men in the fifth cohort of the Calvin Prison Initiative program who are earning bachelor’s degrees and the 24 men who are earning associate degrees. A special Commencement ceremony honoring their achievements will be held inside Handlon Correctional Facility on Friday, May 10, 2024.
