Digital Library Title List Released

April 5, 2016

With the launch of the new CRCNA Digital Library a few weeks away, users can now check out the list of titles that will be available to CRC members and churches.

The list includes hundreds of books and ministry resources that many churches rely on. With the launch of the Digital Library, anyone who attends a Christian Reformed Church will be able to access them in digital form at no cost. Churches can also order printed copies with a new 20 percent CRC discount.

Since churches from other denominations do not contribute Ministry Shares, those churches will continue to pay regular prices.

The February announcement of the Digital Library was met with a positive response from churches and members. About one-quarter of churches in the denomination have ordered bulletin inserts to tell their congregants about this new resource, and many others have shared the information via social media, bulletin announcements, and other channels.

The full list of titles is available for viewing, but we’ve gone through the hundreds of titles in the list to pull out a few examples for different areas of ministry:

Children's Ministry/Sunday School

Youth Ministry

Intergenerational

Adult/Small Groups

Church Leadership

Worship

Although the Digital Library will include most Faith Alive products, some resources, like the Lift Up Your Hearts hymnal, won’t be available because of third-party copyrights, old file formats, and other special situations.

So far, over two thousand individuals have pre-registered at crcna.org/Library. Access will be phased in on a first-come, first-served basis beginning later this month. Anyone who has signed up will be notified by email when they can get into the Digital Library.

The Digital Library is a one-year pilot program for CRC churches and members, made possible through ministry shares. The 20 percent CRC discount begins in June, and will cover nearly everything in the Faith Alive catalog. For more information and to sign up, visit crcna.org/Library.
