Welcome to everyone participating in the Pastors’ Wives’ Gathering!

This year we have chosen to have it at one of Canada’s most spectacular natural wonders - Niagara Falls. During your time at the conference, you will have the opportunity to explore the area.

We have created a list of attractions, dining options and sightseeing adventures that you may want to consider. We hope you have a truly wonderful time at the conference and find time to explore the area.

Dining Options

  • Keep in mind the hotel offers a free made-to-order buffet breakfast and an evening reception with complimentary drinks and snacks.

    Eating at the Falls - There are a number of great restaurants all around the falls. Feel free to search on this link, or just go for a walk along the Niagara River Parkway and see what appeals to you as you explore the area.
    Riverside Patio - At the entrance to the hornblower (go down elevator and large ramp) Burgers, fries, and other easy meals. Great prices for this area.
    Market at Table Rock - the bottom level of Table Rock has various places to eat including burgers, fries, smoothies, sushi, deli sandwiches and salads. Although pricier, the location can’t be beat

Afternoon Away Ideas

Journey Behind the Falls - go down into the tunnels behind the falls to see, hear and feel  the back of the falls. You also get access to the lower observation deck to see another perspective of the horseshoe falls $25CAD/person. Open until 6pm

Niagara Boat Cruises: Hornblower - put on a red poncho and go for a ride into the bottom of the falls. See the falls from the water and feel the power of the water falling. Prepare to get wet on this once in a lifetime boat ride. $33.50CAD/person. Open until 4:30pm. Buy tickets online or at the kiosk at the top of the elevator

Whirlpool Aero Car - Take a historic cable car ride over the Niagara river and whirlpool.  $19CAD/person. Open until 5pm

White Water Walk - Walk along the white water rapids of the Niagara river on a quarter-mile long boardwalk. Self-guided tour available to learn more about the geology, plant, and animal life you may see on your walk. $19CAD/person. Open until 5pm

Niagara Parks Power Station - Learn all about the first major power plant on the Canadian side of the Niagara river. Featuring interactive exhibits featuring the ways water has been harnessed to produce electricity. Included in admission is the new tunnel experience, bringing you out to an observation deck at the edge of the Niagara River. $32CAD/person. Open until 6pm

Skylon Tower - See the falls from above! The observation deck towers 775 feet above the falls and on a clear day, you can see up to 80 miles in any direction. $18CAD/Person (Coupon)

Enjoy the autumn colors, manicured gardens and the beauty of the Niagara peninsula.

Floral Showhouse - Just a short walk from the Horseshoe falls, explore the three main greenhouses full of a variety of floral beauty. $8CAD/person, Open until 5pm.

Niagara Glen - Up for a bit of a hike? Check out the Niagara Glen, located in the Niagara Gorge, it includes stairways to 2.5 miles of moderate difficulty hiking paths, including overlooks of the Niagara river and whirlpool. Plan your hike with this map.

Botanical Gardens - Enjoy a beautiful walk through the award-winning Botanical Gardens. With over 99 acres of gardens, the variety of plants is endless. Free admission, open all day.

Butterfly Conservatory - Step into a tropical oasis and experience over 2,000 butterflies fluttering through the lush vegetation and colorful flowers. $19CAD/person, open until 7pm.

Bird Kingdom - the World’s Largest Free-Flying Indoor Aviary. Discover hundreds of tropical birds as you explore the pathways throughout the multi-level rainforest.

Queenston Park - Brock Monument - gardens  and the beginning of the Bruce trail!

Let your inner child out and visit the weird and the wacky on Clifton Hill.

Without access to a vehicle:
Falls Avenue is the place to grab some gifts for yourself or your friends back home! Hard Rock Cafe, Hershey’s outlet store and a whole lot more. (walk the Niagara River Parkway and enjoy the view and end up at Falls Avenue for fun tourist shopping)

With access to a vehicle:
Niagara-on-the-lake is known for its boutique style gift shops. If you have the opportunity to get to the area, you won’t be disappointed! It has everything - little shops, lots of dining, many photo opportunities! (30 minutes by car, no public transit available)
The Outlet Collection at Niagara features 100+ irresistible outlet brands and is located just off the highway for easy access. Note: Out of town visitors can visit Guest Services with proof of residence to get a free VIP Discount Card which gives you exclusive discounts and special rewards! (15 minutes by car, an hour by bus)
