- The Regional Pastor should coordinate information sharing within the classis community as well as whatever pastoral care the classis might provide (in consultation with the grieving pastor’s council). The Regional Pastor might also offer to assist with arrangements related to pulpit supply.
- Church visitors can help councils understand church order provisions for temporary leaves of absence (see Church Order article 16). Church visitors may also be needed to help councils identify and address key issues related to their pastors’ difficult situations, possible leaves of absence, and eventual returns to ministry.
