Our goal is that every church has a volunteer Church Disability Advocate. Church advocates work within their congregation's context so that in their church everybody belongs and everybody serves. Church advocates encourage their church to consider universal design to welcome and engage people with disabilities. They also nudge the church to use responsive design to adapt and accommodate the needs of individuals in their congregation. Regional Disability Advocates are classis (regional groups of churches) level volunteers who support Church Disability Advocates and connect with churches who do not yet have a Church Disability Advocate. To learn more about the roles of church and regional disability advocates, check out the position descriptions.
